Research Security Training is provided to all faculty, staff and students through the University CITI Program account without charge. This training is recommended for all researchers/scholars engaged in international collaboration and required for all faculty submitting proposals to a federal sponsor (including flow through). Training must be current within the last 12 months at the time of proposal submission.
To sign up for training:
- Click on the link above
- You will be prompted to log into your My.GeorgiaSouthern account.
- If you are an existing user, you will be taken directly to your CITI account.
- If you are a new user, you will be prompted to sign up. After signing up, you will be taken to your CITI account.
- Once in your CITI account, the following courses should be automatically added to your account: Export Control – Researcher
- In the future, you can access your CITI account through the 鈥淩esearch Resources鈥 tile on your portal.
If you have a CITI account at another institution, add an affiliation to Georgia Southern from the link on the Main Menu of your CITI account to receive credit for modules taken at that institution and to utilize the GS electronic systems. (Do not drop you affiliation with prior institutions or courses taken under that institution will be deleted by the CITI system. You may have an unlimited number of affiliations.) Be aware that some institutions have customized their training selections or modules. Only the standard modules that have not expired will transfer.
